Reflections of a Would-Be Optimist: A Philosophical Journey

In Reflections of a Would-Be Optimist, the author presents some of the highlights and low-lights of his life. Included are descriptions of some of the major events, people and places that have shaped his development as a person. Scattered amongst the seemingly uninteresting and sometimes tragic events are thought provoking sentiments of middle-age angst. The authors shares his likes, dislikes, as well as behaviors and though processes that may help the reader understand him a bit more. Presented here are some regrets, life lessons learned the hard way and a desire to be understood as the author tries to understand himself and his circumstances. It is hoped that the reader will be touched in some way and perhaps inspire some self-reflection.
