Anesthesia

Bridget had always hated this feeling. It was the reason she had put off having her tonsils removed for so long when she was a teenager. She absolutely hated not being able to remember what had happened to her, and she especially hated feeling scared. So, when she opened her eyes and saw the vibrant blue sky above her and heard people's voices around her, she got an uneasy feeling in the pit of her stomach. This was the same as that post-anesthesia feeling that she hated so much. The only difference was that nothing felt familiar about this situation. Nobody's face appeared above her to explain what was going on. She did not remember ever being on the ground, let alone ground with sand on it. Plus, she did not remember being near other people before regaining consciousness here. And was that water? Why the hell was there water?
