"The King and the Kid by Konnrad is one of the best books I have read in years. Geared toward a younger generation, I am 50, but this book kept my interest and had me not wanting to put it down. It is a great book for teens to adults. It shows how friendships are important and how you don't have to be all in the same "group" to be able to get along with others. Accepting others for who they are - these 4 friends show how being different doesn't matter. It is what is inside that matters and being there for each other. It is an easy read - you will want to keep going because the storyline is so exciting. I read the previews for the next book in the series - Thunderstorm - and can't wait till it is available.
