What's Left of Me

Opal Walker's parents just got divorced and now she is being forced to move to New York City with her father after having lived her entire life in Washington, DC. On Opal's first day in the Big Apple, she is greeted by her overly friendly neighbor Dustin Giles, who lives in the apartment across from hers. Dustin proceeds to force Opal to take part in supposedly "fun" activities with him, treating her like they've known each other for years, and proceeding to do many other things that cause her world to become even more crooked than it already is. The two become closer and closer as the days go by and Opal starts to think of Dustin as a very important part of her life. They do many things together during the following months, including celebrating Opal's birthday, writing a song together, goofing off in class, and pretty much running wild. That is, until something happens to Opal that changes her life and herself forever.
