Sandoval Stories, 1760s-2013: Filipino American Odyssey from Iloilo, Palawan, Manila to Fairfax County, Virginia

June 1, 2013 would have been the centennial for my father Graciniano Angeles Sandoval -- had he lived. But cancer took him away a decade ago so I decided to do what he loved to do: share stories of his Sandoval Family from the Philippines. I traced the history of his family from the 1760s in Jaro, Iloilo through Palawan, Manila and over the ocean to Virginia. I hope that this memory book would preserve the life lessons he shared with us, the Sandoval Six, and help the future generation of his thoroughly American multicultural descendants in understanding the Filipino heritage of which he was so proud.
