The Lady of the Lake

Of all the writers in the 19th century, the preeminent one was Sir Walter Scott, whose works were so beloved that he had an international fanbase well before he died. The Scotsman is still considered one of the greatest writers of the English language. The Lady of the Lake is a long narrative poem set in the Trossachs region of Scotland. The poem has sic cantos and three separate plots.
