In South Carolina, it is the Licensing Board for Contractors that processes all licensing issues. After passing the Commercial Business and Law Exam, one should attempt to take the Limited/Unlimited contractor exams. You want to have a minimum of 2 years of residential and/or commercial experience within the last 5 years to do so.
