From his creative combining of personal life experience and professional training, Faulkner's Unified Jujitsu School of Martial Arts was founded by Master Roy J. Faulkner. He proudly severs as the lead head instructor, giving lessons to beginners as well as to advanced students. Master Faulkner retired from the Department of Education after thirty-one years of service in the transit division. Based upon forty-seven years of experience and persistence, he has been the recipient of numerous awards to include five from the World Martial Arts Hall of Fame, as well as a diploma from the International Olympic Committee, from President Juan Antonio Samaranch. Master Faulkner's goal is to develop, foster, and promote self-esteem through the arts of Faulkner's Unified Jujitsu. Master Faulkner's motto is, "It's not what looks good but what works."
