Barbers: Three Hundred Years of a Farming Family

This is the story of a remarkable West Country farming family. The early ancestors were farmers and indeed William (born 1770) owned a small landed freehold estate and was a yeoman. It is a story of their lives, a tragedy, and above all of their success and enterprise. It is the story of the growth of their Company, the foresight and endeavour of many generations which has resulted in a business producing over 13,000 tonnes of cheese per annum supplying supermarkets and exporting the finest West Country Farmhouse Cheddar.
