Greatly Beloved

As a teenager, Daniel was taken captive by the Babylonians. He would never again return to Judah, his homeland. What attributes did Daniel possess, even as a youth, that allowed him to faithfully serve God in a pagan land; attributes that granted him the God-given title "Greatly Beloved"?
