Description
My First Piano Anthology introduces the beginner pianist to “classical” music, covering repertoire from the Baroque, Classical, Romantic, Modernist and Contemporary Era and represented by composers such as Bach, Beethoven and Brahms. This collection is designed to accompany beginners from when they have only just started lessons and are still playing unison pieces until they have been playing for a year or so and are starting to learn their first pieces of standard repertoire and perhaps getting ready for their first exam.
It is divided in four parts: Part I, Traditional Folk Music, is a collection of elementary pieces and consists of traditional folk pieces in unison and with very elementary accompaniment. Part II, Arrangements of Classical Music, is a collection of very easy pieces and consists of arrangements of the classics. Part III, Classical Piano Music, is a collection of easy pieces (approximately ABRSM Grade 1/2) and contains standard repertoire for the beginner pianist.
