Analysis and Discussion of Mirror Materials for Past and Future Optical Astronomical Telescopes: Bachelor Thesis

When Galileo Galile first pointed his telescope towards the sky, a new era of astronomy began. The then new device opened the doors to the sky and provided scien-tists from all over the world with a whole new perspec-tive. Soon, astronomers reached the limits of their telescope due to some reasons, that made it impossible to produce better lenses. Scientists began to use mirrors to collect the light in the telescope. The materials used for this mirrors changed with time and technological possibilities. Now, they are discussed in this thesis.
