The Media War in Hungary I: Media & Power in Hungary from 1989-2009

Noted journalist and former member of the Hungarian national media regulator Peter Gyuricza explores key historical events surrounding the development of the media environment in Hungary since the regime change in 1989. His unique perspective having not only lived through, but having witnessed first hand many of those events in his capacity as a public service journalist, civil servant and finally regulator, allows for a rich and colorful insight into these historical events up to and including 2009. The relationship between media and politics in especially relevant due to historical events dating back to the 1800's and still resonates today.
