Women and the Post-Colonial Indian State

The object of these essays in three chapters is look into some aspects of law making, policy formulations, and implementation of the constitutional and legal provisions etc. by the post-colonial state in India vis-à-vis gender justice and women “empowerment” and will try to examine the State’s perspective on gender relations.
