Description
I am hoping that this book will be of interest to a number of different interest groups: Inside the financial services industry: The professionals who work at various stages of the lifecycle of trades and the resulting assets. In large part, the post-trade process control needs are the same in Private Banking and Asset Management. This book takes an operational view and will, I hope, offer insights in terms of tips and guidance on how to properly operate the business for all those who work in the infrastructure part of banks: Operations, Finance, IT or Change. And, just maybe, there might be the odd front-office type and COO who will find a few valuable lessons in these pages. Outside the financial services industry: Students who are wondering what direction to set their careers in. While the various misdeeds of the years after the Great Financial Crisis of 2008 have led to banking losing some if its shine, the industry needs bright people to help business function. I hope that this book might provide a little inspiration. Those interested in good process management and making things work. I hope the examples highlighted here will prove the case that each industry has its own challenges. Anybody interested in banking that wonders what really happens in that world beyond what you se on the TV.
