In an Instant

On October 11, panic seizes the students of Lake View School as their teachers clutch their chests, fall to their knees, and die. Blood trickles from the corners of the teachers eyes, and noxious odors escape in their last exhaled breath. After finding the bodies of their parents, older siblings, and neighbors, eight teens step up as the new leaders of Lake View, but life as they know it just ended. Now they must not only protect the young ones in their community, but they must also face the challenges of living in a world with no adults, no modern conveniences, no technology, and no promise of tomorrow. Just when they think they have it under control, their survival is threatened by dangers from outside the community, and the new leaders must decide how far they are willing to go in order to survive.
