Description
Swami Vivekananda, the cyclonic monk, has always been in favour of forming ideal society through man-making. Though he does no present his thoughts in the order of Philosophy, yet the writings and lectures form his end ever advocates ethical development of human intellect. I have tried to follow the spirit of his thinking as to conduct and ethics. Women folk are still oppressed and neglected. Swamiji’s valued opinion in connection with women empowerment has been detailed in the book. This would help the woman find out a path of their own. Vivekananda’s concept of casteism, individualism and socialism, universal religion has been taken into account to ascertain what we ought to do in course of setting firmly the basis of ideal society. Swamiji’s idea of neo-vedanta and its application in human life has also critically been examined. I think, my work, would, to some extent, bring to light the essence of Swami Vivekananda’s thought on religion, society and human understanding which would ultimately co-operate us towards building up best form of society anywhere on the earth in these days and the days to come. I trust my readers and book forward for their heart-felt response to my humble work.
