Will Warlie, U.S.M.C.: Wished I'd Taken Mother's Advice

Will Warlie was born in 1923 in Owens Valley, California on the Sunland Indian Reservation. He died in Korea while serving with the 5th Marines during the 1950 Chosin Reservoir Campaign. This book is written by Rob Pearce, a longtime friend of the Warlie family. Will’s story is told through letters that Will, family, and friends exchanged during Will’s service in the Marines, and from historical and first hand records. The book also chronicles the strong three generations friendship between Will’s and the author’s family.
