Canoe Lake: Algonquin Park

Canoe Lake, Algonquin Park, has played a prominent role in the identity of Canada. Canoe Lake was the adapted home of Tom Thomson, an artist whose death mystery has still not been resolved almost 100 years after it occurred. Canoe Lake was also the inspiration for a new Canadian movement of artists who became known as the Group of Seven.
