Gulliver's Travels

The entire journey of Lemuel Gulliver comprises not just one adventure among the miniature Lilliputians, but four separate trips at sea, all of which bring him into contact with the most fanciful characters who ever graced the printed page. Jonathan Swift was a master satirist, and his imaginary world in Gulliver’s Travels is as delightfully insane and bitingly sharp now as it must have been in 1726, when all the historical events and figures to whom he alludes were much more contemporary to the publication date. This is Swift’s most famous and beloved contribution to the English literary canon.
