BENLYSTA (Belimumab): Treats Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE or Lupus)

Belimumab is in a class of medications called monoclonal antibodies. It works by blocking the activity of a certain protein in people with SLE. Belimumab may not work as well to treat African Americans who have SLE. This medicine is to be given only by or under the immediate supervision of your doctor.
