Farai and the School Gangsters (The Diary of the New Kid)

Take a look at the diary of the new kid at school. Farai's new school has a culture of violence. On his second day at the school, Farai finds out that someone is bullying his little sister, Rudo. Trying to protect Rudo, Farai challenges Giant Joe, one of the school’s most feared boys, to a fistfight. A date is set for the fight and the whole school waits in anticipation. Farai hates fighting, but he is now powerless to stop the fight. Farai is also torn between Nyasha, the most popular girl at the school, and Rachel, the school outcast. He likes Nyasha and he feels sorry for Rachel. He wants to be Rachel's friend, but he knows he will lose Nyasha if he shows any kindness towards Rachel.
