An Introduction to Writing Mathematical Proofs: Shifting Gears from Calculus to Upper-Level Mathematics Classes

This book is designed as a textbook for transitioning from calculus-style courses, in which techniques are the main focus, to upper-level mathematics courses where proof techniques play a major role. Readers are exposed to a variety of proof techniques and given numerous opportunities for practice. To keep the focus on writing proofs, familiar topics from elementary geometry and calculus are used to motivate the discussion.
