Air Power and Warfare: Eighth Military History Symposium

A Harmon Memorial Lecture served as the keynote address for this symposium. The series of which this Harmon Lecture is a part began in 1959, in honor of the late Lieutenant General Hubert R. Harmon, first Superintendent of the United States Air Force Academy. Each year, a committee of internationally known historians and USAF Academy representatives Invites an outstanding military historian or a scholar from a closely allied field to present an original lecture on a subject within the field of military history.
