Common Sense Gentleman

• The world is changing and we must change with it. Technological progress, globalism, and advances in social rights have shifted our environment. What are men, as a group, doing to adapt to those changes? How are we talking about these changes with one another? How are we working to help each other improve? Thomas Paine wrote the pamphlet Common Sense in 1776, trying to inspire the people to revolt against an oppressive government. The world was changing then and he was challenging the people to change with it. This is not 1776. We are not facing an oppressive government and we are not facing any great wars. We are lacking the urgency that those sorts of circumstances bring. Be that as it may, we are being called to face challenges large and small. • How can we be our best? How can we create an abundant and equitable society? How can we create sustainable and caring communities? How can we form lasting and impactful relationships? What does it mean to be a man in this new world? • These are the sorts of challenges that young men are facing today. Common Sense Gentleman is a short book set to inspire young men to undergo their own personal revolutions. This book sets out to show young men how to think more effectively and how to work together in order to face the unprecedented challenges in modern society.
