The Unauthorized Education

You do not get to choose the events that come your way or the sorrows that interrupt your life. Fate seems to have a plan to make you disillusioned. We traverse many paths in search of self, looking to religion, music, love, the armed forces, etc. for answers so desperately needed to help ourselves. The subsequent events prove that the search will not be a walk in the park. Will this individual eventually conquer his woes or will the trappings of his existence overwhelm him?This is a story told in the form of Spoken Word Poetry.
