Preparation for the PSSA English Language Arts Tests

Students take the PSSA English Language Arts assessments each year. Questions testing language and vocabulary skills make up about a third of the total score.

The test includes standalone multiple-choice questions where students identify writing errors, determine how to best complete sentences, or choose the best revision to a passage. Language and vocabulary skills are also assessed as part of the reading tasks, with some of the questions following passages covering language and vocabulary use. This book will prepare students for both types of questions, as well as ensure that students have the specific language skills that are assessed.
