Roger Barnes, I.T. Assassin Volume 1: Temp-To-Perm

Roger Barnes is your standard, every day I.T. support tech: overworked, underpaid, and stuck under a glass ceiling preventing him from ever doing anything BUT support calls for the rest of his life. That all changes when he is recruited by FLAME: a secret team of off-the-books operatives who give him an opportunity to stamp out the plague that has cast a shadow on the I.T. industry for decades: the H1-B program. Like any full-time I.T. job, Roger doesn't get hired outright: he has to prove himself on a temp-to-perm assignment first. In this case, that means going undercover at Volunteers of the United States, a nonprofit front for the syndicate that is using the H1-B program as a key part of some mysterious master plan for world domination. Posing as a temporary I.T. consultant, Roger's job is to uncover as much information as he can about the syndicate behind VoUS, and then assassinate the mullet-adorned CEO of the bogus company. Of course, the nature of Roger's cover identity means he'll also be forced to field the usual array of stupid user questions, requests, and obviously fabricated stories about how they're definitely, 100% not responsible for screwing up their own computers. Will Roger come through and bring VoUS down? Or will FLAME pass on him because his background isn't quite the right fit for this position?
