In this comedy about dogs, Digger is a seven-year-old beagle, and he's having a midlife crisis.

He wants more out of life than just eat, bark, fetch! Believing that the grass must be greener on the other side of his fence, he digs a hole underneath it and runs off to New Orleans in search of a better life. While traveling through the South, he meets up with a French hound dog named Jacque, an existential therapist for "good dogs gone stray." To help Digger deal with his doggie drama, Jacque takes Digger and a pack of fun-loving mutts on an expedition across the Southern United States. Their goal? To find the Milkybone factory. Along the way, Digger discovers a dog's true purpose, and more importantly, has an experience that finally puts the wag back in his tail.
