How Can Pakistan Survive

The first divine message, sent by God Almighty to the Holy Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him), mandated to read the divine message. It was revealed therein that human beings were taught knowledge through pen; neither wealth nor honour nor rank was embodied in the message as attributes of nobility. It was revealed therein that acquisition of wealth, honour and rank led human being to the path of rebellion against God Almighty. Briefly, it can be stated, without speck of contradiction, that knowledge is a driving force in evolutionary progress of mankind to humanity. All the sciences, whether social or natural, flow from the fountain of knowledge. Soon after my retirement, I started to study basic distortions in the boundaries of the State. The historiography of the Partition and the Radcliffe Award led me to the conclusion that this was a British conspiracy and the flawed boundaries originated from the treacherous mind of British Raj. This is how my first book “Bleeding Wounds” completed and was published by the Allied Book Company, Naqi Market, 75, The Mall, Lahore in the year 2011. The response to my research was extremely amazing. The libraries in European countries, the United States of America, Australia and Japan demonstrated immense interest in this research work and so this book has reached the Harvard College Libraries in Boston State of Massachusetts, Columbia University, New York, NY 10027 United States, Yale University Library, New Haven, CT 06520, United States, Princeton University Library, Princeton, NJ 08544 United States and University of Pennsylvania Libraries, Philadelphia , PA 19104, United States. These are the ivy universities of the United States of America. National Library of Australia, Canberra, ACT 2600 and a number of other famous libraries in Europe, USA have purchased this book. Besides these libraries, the Amazon, great publisher/book seller has also published it, marketed it and is marketing throughout the globe. Apart from what is stated above, the book was/is being marketed by a number of book sellers in India, namely, Mary Martin Bookseller, K.K. Agencies, New Delhi and Manohar Book Service. Even a number of famous book stores like Vanguard Book House, Tower Books and AbeBooks, U.K., are selling it On-Line. Briefly, this book is being appreciated by scholars of different countries as a research work. Encouraged by this response, I resumed my journey and started to undertake study of fundamental distortions in various segments of our governance. These distortions are so mountainous that they had almost proved road-blocks in the journey of progress and prosperity of our country. These segments relate to administrative structure of superior services, provincial services, the electoral process of our state and defective structure of anti-bribery laws. The study was agonizing as well as refreshing. I have come to certain conclusions relating to the aforesaid sectors of governance. Guided by my conclusions, I have proposed reforms in different segments of our administration. I make a request to our legislators, our political leaders, administrators, parliamentarians, intellectuals, sociologists, political scientists, journalists and members of civil society to undertake examination of these solutions/reforms and join me in this undertaking. I am very clear in my mind that my proposals/solutions are tentative in nature and need comprehensive debate by all concerned. The proposals/solutions so modified/altered be put before the concerned legislature which should alter/modify the legal infrastructure so as to make Pakistan free from these distortions and lay a foundation for better, strong, stable and prosperous and egalitarian Pakistan.
