How my grandfather stole a shoe

Approximately 10,000 Jews were held in the Obodovka ghetto in Ukraine during the Second World War, and most of them perished from disease and starvation during the first winter. But Shlomo Masis, who recently celebrated his 100th birthday, was one of the survivors. How did he make it through? How did he save his older brother, how did he steal a shoe, and what is his secret about living a long life? His granddaughter Julie Masis, who visited him in the nursing home, wrote down his memories.
