Description
This is combo $40.85 value and sale for $22.95. Central America Map pack included 3 separate maps: Belize 1:250,000(2006), Honduras 1:750,000(2010) and El Salvador 1:250:000(2006). This is perfect maps for who like to travel around Central America. ITMB is bundling three of our country maps of Central America as an encouragement to North American retailers and libraries to increase coverage of some very nice countries that might otherwise be passed by. All are current editions, of course. Belize does not think of itself as being Central American, being English-speaking and relating more to the Caribbean than to the mainland, but it is a vital part of the region, linking the vibrant Caribbean countries to their Latino neighbours. Belize is a popular travel destination for North Americans, with well-maintained beach resorts, untamed jungles, and exotic diving reefs offshore. Honduras has the marvelous Copan archaeological site and is a lovely country to visit in its own right. This edition was updated in 2011 and has shown steady improvement in its infrastructure over its four editions. It is perhaps better known than neighbouring El Salvador, but both countries are friendly, stable, and progressive. Generally speaking, travel to the Central American countries is quite easy, and the region is showing real signs of co-operative behaviour to encourage tourism. As with other map packs that ITMB has produced, this one is available only to retailers, libraries, and individuals ordering directly from ITMB. This usually limits the offer to North Americans, as most of our overseas customers order from local distributors, and this offer is not available from distributors due to its discounted nature. By buying all three maps as a package, the end user saves $2.00 per map so obtains a bargain, and the intermediate retailer encourages a larger sale than might otherwise happen, so everybody wins. Bundling is a relatively new marketing ploy, but it works and is becoming more common as other publishers use this means to market (National Geographic, Franko Maps). The maps come in a transparent zip-lock bag with a card cover to identify it, including bar codes and pre-pricing.
