Economic Cooperation in Africa: In Search of Direction

The author argues that regionalism is the most appropriate strategy for the achievement of autonomous, self-sustained development in Africa. He traces the causes of failure thus far of attempts at economic co-operation in Africa and proposes a three-stage sccenario for gradual change.
