DiLuglio's stories range from Rome, during the time of Caesar, to the mean streets of Providence at the turn of the century, to agriculture and marketing in modern day Maine. Tom DiLuglio delights in the obscure detail.   These stories remind the reader of how much can be learned from good writing. Entertainment is important and given here in full measure, and the work is rich with little life lessons. The work is grounded in common sense or, put another way, street wise.
