Towards X-Ray Free Electron Lasers Workshop on Single Pass, High Gain FELs Starting from Noise Aiming at Coherent X-Rays (AIP Conference Proceedings)

Particular attention is given in this book to topics including: analytical and numerical modeling of noise; longitudinal and transverse coherence; fluctuations, spiking and photon statistics; and experimental projects status and results. The Workshop is organized in Plenary Sections and Working Groups on three specific subjects: FEL Physics and Computer Modeling Codes, Beam Production (guns, injectors, accelerators), and FEL Components and Diagnostics.
