Advances in Interpenetrating Polymer Networks, Volume IV
Book Details
Description
The latest volume in this series presents eleven original illustrated reports from IPN specialists from around the world. The reports cover the results of research and development of a variety of different types of IPNs - their structure, synthesis, properties and performance. There are also several papers which review new data on IPNs presented in the recent literature and at international conferences.
All those involved in the research, development, testing and applications of polymeric materials will find the information in this new volume useful.
FROM THE EDITORS' PREFACE Research and development in interpenetrating polymer networks (IPNs) continues to increase at an accelerated pace. The number of publications, patents and symposia worldwide testify to the growth of this important field of polymers. What is most remarkable, however, is the proliferation of the industrial applications of IPNs, ranging from new types of adhesives, coatings, elastomers, and plastics to composites, RIM, and medical applications. This is not surprising since formation of IPNs presents opportunities to develop new engineering materials with potential new applications and markets.
