AMSCO's AP Biology: Preparing for the Advanced Placement Examination

The goal of this newly revised Amsco text is to prepare students to take the Advanced Placement Biology Examination given each May so that they may enter colleg with either advanced standing or credit for general biology. It can also be used to supplement a course in AP Biology or as a complete content review of a college-level biology course. The book is organized into three main parts that include: Part i (Chapters 1-3): A complete overview of the AP Biology Exam, key test-taking strategies, and one revised (diagnostic) Model/examination. Part ii (Chapters 4-10): In-depth content review of all the major topics in AP Biology, including: molecules, cell, genetics, evolution, plants, human physiology, and population biology and ecology. Part iii: Three Model Examinations that exactly match the new format of the revised AP Biology Examination. Each revised exam now has 100 multiple-choice questions and four free response/essay questions. An all-new Appendix: A Review of Laboratory Experiments 1-12, which are taught in the class and tested on the AP Biology Examination. A complete Glossary of biological terms and an extensive index.
