Closing the Gap: Information, Participation, and Justice in Decision-Making for the Environment, based on the results of The Access Initiative. The report includes analysis of national systems for public participation in nine countries - Chile, Hungary, Indonesia, India, Mexico, Thailand, South Africa, Uganda and the United States- and calls for reforms in the policy and practices of governments, donors, and international organizations for implementation of the commitments made at Rio to access to information, participation and justice in decision making.
