Guided by Performancesecondary: Building Stronger Bridges Between Learning, Curriculum, and Assessment

Teachers will learn new ways to separate content knowledge from content skill; use assessment to fine-tune learning and adjust teaching strategies; add benchmark, standards-based projects and assessments to a curriculum already in use; meet state and district standards in creative, meaningful, and engaging ways; develop their own similar projects and assessments; and more. A series of assessment packages for different units/topics are offered. The secondary edition includes units/topics for benchmark grades 8 and 11. Each topic guides students through a range of tasks, gives them roles tied to real-life situations, and addresses standards in at least two content areas.
