Was Lincoln a racist? More important, how did Lincoln's racial views affect the course of our history? This collection of historical documents focuses on Lincoln's views on race and slavery. For each reader, the documents will raise new questions, which will allow readers to make their own historical judgments -- to study history in the ways that historians do.
