The New Law of Negotiable Instruments

This text assists practitioners in identifying the many ambiguities inherent in the law of negotiable instruments. It elucidates, through a detailed discussion of applicable cases, the ways in which courts resolve these ambiguities. Revised UCC Articles 3 and 4 clarified many ambiguities but, not surprisingly, Articles 3 and 4 raise a host of new questions. To further assist practitioners, this volume also contains a summary of the rights of parties in common scenarios, an "algorithm" designed to help determine whether a particular writing is a negotiable instrument, a glossary, and a detailed index.
