Survival English for Hmong Speakers

This program introduces basic english vocabulary needed for day-to-day life in the United States. Produced for the Center of Applied Linguistics, pricipally for use with refugee populations. This brief audio/book course contain words and phrases in essential ares such as recognizing signs, conveying information, and dealing with food, clothing, money, housing, jobs, travel, and social situations.The book also features a list of more than 1400 common and useful words in English and the leaner's native language.
