Awakening the Silence

Patty Burke, a nineteen-year-old suffering from manic depression, attends Arizona State University where she becomes involved in protests against the licensing of a nuclear power plant. Her battle for emotional stability is aided by a melange of people, among them bikers, AA members and Navajos, leading her to Native American medicine and her true love.
