New Housing Concepts

Numerous conditions affect the residential typology and raise challenges that are often difficult to solve. Factors such as scale, services, local regulations, budget cuts and typological and formal demands of clients are only a few of the limitations that force architects to work in a very narrow margin of action and make it difficult to offer audacious solutions to the changing needs that have arisen. The projects in this volume intend to illustrate contemporary tendencies in collective housing, and provide answers, solutions, unexpected points of view and proposals that should influence the conception of residential architecture in the 21st century.
