The primary goal of this text is to introduce the aspects of finite element analysis that are important to the software user. Theoretical aspects are introduced as they are needed to help better understanding of the operation. Emphasis is on the practical concepts and procedures to using I-DEAS in performing linear Static Stress analysis.
