Big Ideas in Small Packages: Using Picture Books with Older Readers

This new educational tool offers librarians and teachers an effective approach to motivate struggling students to read. It incorporates information on each genre, followed by a list of books related to that genre, a summary of each book, and lessons and activities, making reading interactive and fun! Emphasis is placed on research and writing and using picture books to help older students improve reading, writing, and problem-solving skills. The lessons and activities in this resource will increase collaboration further between librarian and teacher.
