Design Manufacturing Composites, Third International Canada-Japan Workshop

The Y2000 Canada-Japan Workshop on Composites resulted in the presentation of more than 50 research-based reports on new developments in composite materials technology. All significant areas of this technology were covered including matrix and reinforcement materials, design, characterization, properties and performance, processing, and applications.

The complete, illustrated texts of the reports are available in this volume. Information is presented on a wide range of design and materials types, including braided composites, filled composites, metal and ceramic composites, smart composites, textile composites, and thermoplastic composites. Hundreds of photographs, micrographs, diagrams and other schematics illustrate materials, design, processes and applications.

This technology resource will be useful to all those involved in the R&D, processing and applications of advanced materials.
