To promote the movie National Treasure starring Nicolas Cage, Walt Disney Pictures identified W.C. Jameson as one of the three experts in the U.S. on finding lost treasures. Disney representatives interviewed him for publicity of the film and then spent two days with him in the mountains filming what will become part of the trailer for the film on DVD.
