Promises Made, Promises Kept

The AssassiNator, one of L.A.'s most notorious rappers, was bored and looking for trouble. He had money to burn-and then some-but he missed the high of an adrenaline rush. Grabbing his posse as backup, he set off to break into one of the huge houses in his affluent neighborhood.

Beverly Mathis had just finished tucking away nightclothes for her children's trip to New York with their father, her ex-husband. She wandered to her office-and found four men invading her home. Without thinking, she reached into her desk and pointed a gun at the man she took to be the leader. "Tee, what the hell are you doing?" She didn't know where the words came from, but they seemed to restore sanity to the man before her.

It was an inauspicious beginning, but the attraction between these two seemingly dissimilar people was undeniable. Beverly accepted Tee's invitation to dinner and thus began a whirlwind romance and marriage. But could their love survive the temptations of his profession and his longstanding friendship with the beautiful and questionably employed Candy? Could Beverly forgive his apparently broken promise?
