The only quarterback to throw for over 4,000 yards in a 14-game season, he did it all with battered knees and unsurpassed charisma. While his Super Bowl III guarantee would make him a pop culture icon, it was Namath's battle-tested grit and courage that took him into the Hall of Fame.
